Automatic Segmentation and Classification of Lung Boundary for Diagnosing Tuberculosis

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a major disease which is second greatest killer after AIDS. Detection of
tuberculosis is very challenging now a day. The Bacillus Mycobacterium growing day by day after it entered to the body. The immediate detection of tuberculosis is needed to save the life of the tuberculosis affected patient. The skin test may give inaccurate result and the sputum test may stretch 4-8 weeks. This paper helps to detect tuberculosis in early stage with the help of chest X-ray radiographs. Digital image processing plays a major role to detect the tuberculosis using chest radiographs.
