A STUDY ON EMPLOYEE EMPOWERMENT WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO TEXTILE INDUSTRY
Abstract
Employee empowerment has emerged as a vital concept in modern organizational management, focusing on enhancing employee participation, autonomy, and decision-making capabilities. The present study aims to analyze the level of empowerment practices adopted in the organization and their impact on employee performance, job satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness. The study examines key dimensions of empowerment such as delegation of authority, access to information, participation in decision making, skill development, and motivational support. Both primary and secondary data are utilized for the research. Primary data is collected through structured questionnaires distributed among employees, while secondary data is gathered from company records, journals, and relevant literature.The findings of the study help in identifying the extent to which employees feel empowered and the challenges faced in implementing empowerment practices. It also highlights the relationship between empowerment and productivity, morale, and commitment of employees. The study concludes with suggestions to improve empowerment strategies, thereby contributing to enhanced organizational performance and employee satisfaction.
