DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF A TEARDROP-SHAPED MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA FOR 2.4GHz ISM BAND APPLICATIONS
Abstract
This is a compact teardrop-shaped microstrip patch antenna that operates at 2.408GHz for wireless communication applications. The antenna has been designed using CST Studio Suite and it has good impedance matching, high radiation and stable gain. The simulated results show a return loss of -28.11dB, a VSWR close to 1, and omnidirectional radiation characteristics. This antenna is suitable for WLAN, IoT, and short-range communication systems.
