IOT BASED RELAY CONTROL, MONITORING AND FAULT DIAGNOSING SYSTEM

Abstract

In today’s world, Automatic systems are being preferred over manual system. In automatic system, Internet of things plays a major role in the modern technology. By using IOT one can share information and complete tasks while busy with other activities. Wireless control and monitoring of relay using Internet of Things is a system that uses computers or mobile devices to control basic relay operations automatically through the internet from anywhere around the world. The main body of the system contains an Arduino microcontroller connected to a relay driver circuit. An android application is also developed using Android studio IDE. This system provides the protection to the electrical equipment in the transmission and distribution lines by tripping the relay. Automatic control and monitoring of relay using atmega328 which employs the integration of cloud networking and wireless communication to provide the user with remote control of relay
function and storing the data in the cloud. The relay will automatically change on the basis of voltage and current values which are given by sensors. For maintenance purpose, relay will be turn ON and turn OFF manually by the help of android application. The proposed system will be a simple, cost effective and flexible which makes it suitable and it act as a good fault diagnosing system.
