REDUCTION OF UTILITY CONSUMPTION BY SCHEDULING OF DEMAND LOADS FOR ECONOMIC ELECTRICITY

Abstract

Scheduling concept is introduced for reducing the maximum utilization of the electricity at a time. By doing so, the electricity gets reduced. Due to the over usage of electricity in the peak hours the bill charges get increases. The power factor value also gets minimized during the peak load time. In this work, the load usages are scheduled to use at various different timings in the off peak hours. This is done by the control unit. The CU controls and operates the appliances as scheduled earlier. Because of using the loads at the off
peak hours, the power factor value will not reduce. Accordingly, the electricity bill charges are maintained within a limit. The customer load demands are managed and controlled. Both bill charge reduction and over usage of electricity is avoided by this work.
