AN EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF TMT BARS USING EPOXY RESINS AND CALCIUM NITRITE CEMENT SLURRY

Abstract

Concrete is the most widely used building material in the world due to its low cost and durability. Corrosion of steel in concrete is one of the major causes of deterioration of concrete structure. This Project focuses on the comparative investigation in prevention of corrosion on reinforcement bars by means of coating process using epoxy resins and calcium Nitrite cement slurry. This process will be evaluated by cathodic protection test and chemical resistance test. The property of the steel coating will be examined by tensile test, Pullout test.
