PERFORMANCE STUDY OF ARTIFICIAL AGGREGATE ON RC FLEXURAL MEMBERS

Abstract

In our country the construction activity is growing day by day. For that it wants the natural resources like sand, aggregate, etc. There is a demand for the natural resources like sand, aggregate. To stunned this demand we have to go for alternate sources. Using of Artificial aggregate in concrete is one of the techniques to solve the above problem. For that manufacturing of artificial aggregates are adopted. In this project the artificial aggregates were prepared spending the waste materials like quarry dust. The artificial aggregates are prepared by pelletization method for various proportions of cement and  quarry dust., Artificial aggregates were prepared for the ratio of p1, p2 and p3Then the strength properties like specific gravity, water absorption test, sieve analysis, impact test, abrasion test, aggregate crushing test of the prepared artificial aggregates is tested. The conventional aggregate concrete mix has been designed for M20 grade of concrete using IS method
