THE DYNAMIC BEHAVIOUR OF SOIL STRUCTURE INTERACTION FOR RCC STRUCTURES IN VARIOUS TYPES OF SOIL
Abstract
The structure stiffness is related to serviceability limit state which
produces the structural displacements remains within the permissible limits. To
design of all RCC structures on subsurface or surface consider the effects of
soil-structure interaction. The structure is analyzed for various load cases,
such as dead load, live load, seismic loads, etc.,. The comparison of these
models for different parameters like Displacement, Bending moments, Shear
stress and Time period are presented. The response of idealized structural
systems to earthquake ground motion is computed with the effects of dead loads
and vertical ground motions. It is created coupling between lateral and
vertical deformations by yielding in the system. This must be considered to
predict the vertical deformations due to horizontal ground motion. Soil
structure interaction is carried out for soft, medium and hard soil. During earthquake, the response of soil particles due
to ground motion it affects the motion of structure and the response of
structure affects the motion of soil mass. The
RCC building considered to analyse SSI in G+2 Storey. For Studying purpose the
RCC Building is located in the Erode, Tamilnadu, India
