ADSORPTION OF COPPER CU (2+) METAL ION FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTION USING SULPHURIC ACID TREATED MIMUSOPS ELENGI AS ADSORBENT

Abstract

The heavy metals were removed by the cost effect ive, high adsorption and time found process where conducted with the adsorption of Cu + from aqueous solution using activated carbon prepared from leaves of Mimusops elengi  waste by acid treatment,  In the present study on parameters such as effect of contact time init ial copper  ions   concentration, carbon dosage and effect of pH on the percentage removal have been conducted  with Kinetics  of the system was studied with linearised forms of Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and DubininRaduskevich isotherms, the intraparticle diffusion, and Lagergren, Ho and Webber Morris models the data were discussed with the first order ,second order and psudo first order  model of the kinetics has been illustrated significantly.
