In this paper, New approaches for medical diagnosis, distance between intuitionistic fuzzy sets and interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets are discussed. First chapter involves the preliminary definitions. Second chapter deals with medical approaches for Intuitionistic fuzzy sets. In the third chapter, the normalized hamming and euclidean distance between intuitionistic fuzzy sets and interval valued intu itionistic fuzzy sets using Matlab software are calculated.
