CHARACTERISTIC STUDY OF CONCRETE CLOTH

Abstract

 The water scarcity is the major problem in the world. To reduce the water penetration in the ground while flowing in the river. To overcome from this problem we have to provide a coat on the river and it should be an economical product. So we have aimed to place  the  concrete cloth. The glass fabrics are used to manufacture the concrete cloth with single, double and triple layers. The quick setting concrete mix is used in the concrete and it is subjected to curing for 28 days.  The compression, split tensile and flexure tests were performed on samples with single layer fabric, double layer fabric, triple layer fabric and absence of fabric. The compressive deformation and the deflections at the various load levels were noted. From the above data it was absorbed that the triple layer performs better than single layer and absence of fabric concrete samples. Due to higher tensile strength of glass fabric enchances the strength of concrete samples.
