FABRICATION AND ANALYSIS OF WATER STORAGE TANK WITH EPOXY RESIN BASED GLASS FIBRE-COCONUT FIBRE HYBRID COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Abstract
This project is an attempt to increases the lifetime & avoid the heat resistance in water storage tank. Coconut is the most important versatile crop, which provides all required amenit ies for human life. Coconut flour is extremely high in natural fiber. Glass fiber has roughly comparable mechanical properties to other fibers such as polymers and carbon fiber. It is much cheaper and significantly less brittle when used in composites. Glass fibers are therefore used as a reinforcing agent for many polymer products to form a very strong and relatively lightweight fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite material called glass reinforced plastic (GRP), also popularly known as "fiberglass". It resistant to heat able to maintain strength properties in wide range conditions. Normal tank easily gives chances to add fungus, bacteria and some other diseases in inside of tank. Fiber combination of glass and coconut will gives much more benefit compare to normal polymer tank. In this combination fiber will able stands for heat resistant and glass fiber will reduce allow to entry the fungus and some other diseases.
