FIVE FINGER ROBOTIC HAND USED FOR HAND ASSISTED LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

Abstract

In recent years, laparoscopic-assisted surgery has been commonly used for acting surgeries on stomach organs. This study aims to develop a system that enables a surgeon to operate using a five - finger robotic hand with a smaller incision and lesser problem than the current HALS. The system consisted of the robotic hand, robotic arm, and data glove. The arm is connecting with the sur geon’s inserted the robotic hand’s angles. During the operation, the surgeon inserts up to half of the robotic arm and uses it and other instruments based on the video transmitted from the laparoscopic, as in the conventional approach. Here a five -finger robotic hand for HALS will be developed and it will confirm that performed four basic behaviours well, and it could be inserted through a small incision.
