This paper analysis and control the power quality problem in distribution network. The major power quality problem is sag, swell, and interruption. This fault occurs mainly due to energization or de - energizat ion of distribution transformer, applying sudden load and other environmental issues liked heavy wind blow, and lighting. Due to this problem the appliances used by the end users get damaged. To overcome this problem DSTATCOM is placed in the end users. The voltage flicker mitigation using DSTATCOM was simulated. In this case, inject ion of harmonics into the system cause d some problems which were later overcome by using inverter assignment of DSTATCOM. The result of this project helps to protect the appliances  of the end users. All the simulation has been performed on the MATLAB software.
