One of the greatest and miserable inventions of mankind is technology. The technology is developed at a very short period and is very vast. One of the best examples of technology development is automobiles . It plays a major role our day to day life. On the other hand it also has many disadvantages. One of the major impacts of automobiles is air pollution. The gases exhausted from automobiles are very hazardous and threats the human life. Therefore to minimize the air pollution IOT based vehicle pollution monitoring system is proposed. The exhausted gases from the vehicle are sensed by the gas sensors, which are connected with the controller. Initially when the sensed gas value exceeds certain limit, intimat ion is sent to the user and regional transport office using GSM. If no change is done further then the RFID reader fitted in the traffic shed reads the particular tag and the person ’s  vehicle can be seized.
