MECHANICAL BE HAVIOUR OF SUGARCANE (BAGASSE) WITH ARALDITE MATRIX COMPOSITE
Abstract
The present work of composite material is to investigate the mechanical properties of sugarcane fiber reinforced composite with araldite matrix. The Major role of the composite is reducing the weight of component to increase the strength of material (Weight-off ratio). Bagasse fiber was powdered with various fiber volume fraction for category1 bagasse fiber (60%), resin (40%). Category2 fiber (40%), resin (60%).sugarcane fiber is mixed with araldite resin and manufacturing of composite plate by hand lay-up method. After curing the composite plate cut the testing specimen as per ASTM Dimensions. The specimens are tested and evaluate the mechanical properties of tensile strength, impact strength, flexural strength, moisture level. The properties of various testing result to be compared and shown the best volume fraction. it mentioned in the case1 and case2.
