REVIEW AND SYNTHESIS OF THE MONONUCLEAR SCHIFF BASE COMPLEXES DERIVED FROM BENZIL, 4- CHLOROANILINE AND 2-AMINOPHENOL WITH ITS METAL SALTS LIKE CU(II), NI(II), CO(II) AND MN(II) IONS
Abstract
The literature survey of the mononuclear Schiff base complexes derived from benzil, 4 chloroaniline and 2-aminophenol with its metal salts like Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Mn(II) ions shows that no work has been reported using these compounds. The present investigation describes the synthesis, spectral, characterizat ion, redox and anti-microbial act ivities of novel Schiff base mononuclear metal complexes obtained by the condensation of benzil, 4-chloroaniline and 2-aminophenol by Conventional as well as Microwave assisted methods.
