STUDY ON PRACTICE OF TIME MANAGEMENT IN RESIDENTIAL BUILDING
Abstract
Planning and scheduling are the most important aspects contributing to the success of a project. How these factors affect the construction productivity is studied and discussed in this project. With proper planning and scheduling, there is a great chance that the work would be completed within the targeted cost and time. It is important that proper work would be completed within the optimum usage of materials, manpower and machinery be adopted. The techniques normally been used for project scheduling, are namely the Gantt chart and critical path method. In the project, the popular primavera (P6.0) software is used as a tool for investigating the current practice of CPM scheduling. Proper job monitoring is another aspect that directly contributes to the improvement of construction productivity. Without proper planning and scheduling it leads to spoil the work. In this project it quoted about the planning and scheduling for Residential building to overcome the time, cost and predict the losses occurrence in this project. Construction project are initiated in complex and dynamic environments resulting in circumstances of high uncertainty and risk, which are compounded by demanding time constraints.
