USE OF PLASTIC WASTE AS PARTIAL REPLACEMENT OF FINE AGGREGATE IN CONCRETE MIXTURE
Abstract
The increase in population and the changed the changed lifestyle has resulted in a significant rise in the quantity of plastic waste.This work aimed to investigate of using plastic waste as partial replacement of fine aggregate. The use of plastic is increasing day by day, steps were taken to reduce its consumption. This creates substantial garbage everyday which is unhealthy. Concrete with various proportions of plastics are tested for specific gravity, fineness ,sieve analysis .The standard mechanical properties like compressive strength , split tensile strength , flexural strength test, impact test are tested and compared with the results of standard specimen.
