EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION ON CORROSION PREVENTION IN R.C SLABS

Abstract

A large quantity of the structures while in assessment are mattered to persistent manipulates of surroundings, these corrosion attacks on structures reason damage and direct to breakdown of the structural constituent or the entire structure. Corrosion is the process by which something deteriorates because of oxidation, a chemical accomplishment that produces oxides that flake left commencing the base. Although the expression is the majority repeatedly connected with the physical breakdown of a metal through rusting, the erosion of rock by breeze and water is a mixture of corrosion. Corrosion reasons deterioration of material and guides to destruction of structures, predominantly in coastal and manufacturing area. Corrosion of steel is an electro-chemical phenomenon. Electro-chemical corrosion result because of the existence of dissimilar metals of non-uniformities in steel or non-uniformities in chemical or physical environmental, afforded by the adjoining concrete. This project is aimed at preventing corrosion in RC slabs using anti-corrosive agents such is providing zinc coating to the steel rods. It is planned to transmit RC slabs with set of proscribed sampling and slabs among anti-corrosive steel rods. The consequences afford proportional analysis of mutually sets of slab.
