PROTECTION OF THREE PHASE INDUCTION MOTOR USING VIRTUAL SYSTEM

Abstract

Now a day’s many industries used induction motor for their machineries control. The induction motor is large single-phase AC motor. The parameters of induction motor are current, voltage, speed and temperature. Using the lab view software, the parameters of the induction motor are identified by using micro controller. Micro controller is used to identify the parameters and control the speed of the induction motor. The current transformer and potential transformer are used to read the values of current and voltage respectively. And these signals are conditioned by signal conditioning unit. The voltage and current readings are analog values. The analog signal is converted into digital signal using ADC circuit. The Digital value of voltage and current, which is converted by ADC, is given to the microcontroller. The other parameters of the induction motor such as temperature and speed are also given to the micro controller. The speed of this induction motor is measured by speed sensor and temperature sensor measures the temperature. The outputs of the speed sensor and temperature sensor are given to the Microcontroller. Motor control circuit also uses micro controller to control the speed of the motor.
