The attendance system based on GSM module. In past, the records are taken physically and maintained in the student’s records. It was an inconvenient job for the staffs or lecturers. To overcome these issues, we develop a smart biometric attendance system. This system includes fingerprint acquisition module and attendance module. It can realize automatically such functions as information acquisition of fingerprint, processing, wireless transmission, fingerprint matching and making an attendance report. After taking the attendance, system sends the attendance of the students to the parents, class advisor’s and HOD mobile through SMS. This system eliminates the need for stationary materials and personnel for the keeping of records.
