SWAY OF RESOURCES OVERRUN WITH RISK MITIGATION IN HILLS CONSTRUCTION

Abstract

In construction industry, there is can’t complete the work without risk. Especially in hilly construction projects are have more various risks. The risks are possible in resource factors and also in external factors. That risks causes for the resources overrun in construction. This project presents the findings of questionnaire survey conducted on the critical risk factors affecting the successful performance of hills construction in India in terms of cost, time and quality. The critical risk factors in Indian hills constructions are change of scope of work, land acquisition delay, poor preliminary soil information and investigations, schedule delay caused by rejection of unqualified materials and change orders by political pressure. The questionnaires are framed by the risk factors affects the resources in hilly construction. Based on the research the resources overrun due to the risks are identified. Further, basic risk factors were investigated through factor examination and ordered them in five variables viz. development risk, open division the executive’s risk, designing risk, asset acquirement risk and social risk. The recognized risks will be helpful to the field engineers for structure of legitimate risk alleviation system during arranging stage.
