IoT BASED SOLAR POWERED PEST SPRAYER AND FRUIT PLUCKER USING FRUITBOT

Abstract

The backbone of our country is farming. Today the agriculture industry is data-centered precise and smarter than ever. The rapid emergence of the IoT based technologies redesigned almost every industry including “Smart agriculture” which moves the industry from statistical to quantitative approaches. Such revolutionary changes are shaking the existing agriculture methods and creating new opportunities along with a range of challenges. The main objective of smart farming is to ameliorate the quality of human life in terms of comfort, efficiency and productivity. Hence, we proposed a solar-powered IoT based fruitbot that acts as a pesticide sprayer to safeguard the crops and the fruit plucker. The plucking mechanism is done semi-automatically using a robotic arm called fruitbot to pluck fruits from not reachable heights. It reduces manpower and time. Fruitbot is more economical and the farmers will be greatly benefited. IoT is utilized to monitor the information and it provides smart harvesting.
