This paper presents a pioneering solution for smart and sustainable street lighting infrastructure, leveraging cuttingedge technologies and innovative design principles. With a primary focus on real-time fault detection, energy efficiency, and
environmental monitoring, the system aims to redefine urban lighting paradigms and contribute to the realization of smarter,
safer, and more sustainable cities. Key components of the system include Arduino microcontrollers, ESP modules, and an
array of sensors such as LDRs, MQ 135 sensors, and temperature/humidity sensors. These components work in tandem to
monitor environmental conditions, detect faults, and dynamically adjust lighting parameters as needed. Central to the
system's functionality is its fault detection and control mechanism, which ensures uninterrupted illumination through
seamless circuit switching in the event of faults or malfunctions. Furthermore, the system incorporates adaptive lighting
control algorithms to optimize energy usage based on ambient conditions and user requirements. Environmental monitoring
features enable real-time data collection on ambient light levels, air quality, and weather conditions, providing valuable
insights for resource optimization and environmental sustainability initiatives. The proposed system also includes a web
server component, powered by Apache, MySQL, and PHP technologies, for remote monitoring and control. Through a userfriendly web interface, administrators can oversee the status of individual streetlights, receive alerts for faults or anomalies,
and adjust lighting parameters as needed. The proposed system represents a significant advancement in street lighting
technology, offering enhanced fault tolerance, energy efficiency, and environmental awareness. By integrating state-of-theart IoT solutions, the system lays the foundation for smarter, more efficient, and sustainable urban environments.
