Maternal health monitoring is crucial to ensure the well-being of both the mother and newborn baby. This project presents a "Smart Maternal Health Monitoring System with Newborn Baby Digital ID and Birth Registration." The system utilizes an Arduino-based health monitoring setup, incorporating the MAX30100 sensor to measure heart rate and SpO2 levels of the mother, and a vibration sensor to count fetal kicks, a temperature sensor to monitor the body temperature. The collected data is transmitted to UBIDots via the ESP8266 module for real-time monitoring. Additionally, a newborn baby's digital ID, birth registration, and birth certificate can be accessed and downloaded using a web-based application developed with Python, Flask, and MySQL. The system was evaluated through real-time trials, demonstrating 94% accuracy in health monitoring and an 80% reduction in manual birth registration delays.
